1788–L launched his Parallel: S EP final April on Deadbeats, which revealed two tracks that had been closely impressed by Daft Punk. Now, the enigmatic artist is returning to Deadbeats with one other distorted French house-inspired observe, maybe this time a la Justice, on “HI-TECH.”
Thrashing synthwork pops and hisses throughout the observe’s three-minute run, damaged up by padded percussion preparations and twisted vocal samples that 1788-L molds into his signature darkish framework. Wrapping his attribute manufacturing type round a gritty electro basis, “HI-TECH” turns into an ideal meld that acts as an ode to the revered French home of the bloghaus period and 1788-L’s new stylistic route.
