Tributes paid to ZZ Prime bassist Dusty Hill, who has died aged 72

Tributes are being paid to Dusty Hill, finest identified for being the bassist of ZZ Prime, who has died aged 72.

The musician’s loss of life was confirmed by the group’s longtime rep, who mentioned that Hill died at house in his sleep. No reason for loss of life has but been revealed.

Remaining ZZ Prime members Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard issued an announcement on Hill’s passing: “We’re saddened by the information right now that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has handed away in his sleep at house in Houston, TX.

“We, together with legions of ZZ Prime followers world wide, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring dedication to offering that monumental backside to the ‘Prime’. We are going to perpetually be linked to that ‘Blues Shuffle in C.’”

They added: “You’ll be missed drastically, amigo.”
