“I used to be residing on my own in London, and it was the darkest time within the pandemic,” Polachek stated of the track’s lyrics. “I used to be actually going via it, feeling so small, unable to manage something on the planet, and the lyric ‘sirens’ was in reference to fixed ambulances I used to be listening to.”
Palaces is Flume’s first full-length challenge since 2019’s scintillating Hello This Is Flume mixtape. The album is slated to launch on Could twentieth by way of Flume’s longtime label, Future Basic.
