The energetic doublet of home hitters is Pharaoh Phonix‘s second all-time launch, following “Funky Skunk,” with which founder Thomas Xavier broke label floor in mid-February. Sonically, Chomper’s Verify It EP is a congruous a match for Pharaoh Phonix; it’s upbeat and located in a groove land off home’s all too crushed path, with memorable, sample-conferring quirks. These hallmarks have helped Xavier to differentiate his sound in home’s saturated pool, and from the Verify It EP, it’s clear that Chomper is a like-minded collaborator who’s additionally taking a look at home by way of an out-of-the-box lens.
