Dylan Matthew, Nitti Gritti debut on Monstercat with ‘Drive You Loopy’ – Dancing Astronaut

“Malibu, the seashore, summer time love, nostalgia, and California.” Dylan Matthew and Nitti Gritti‘s debut collaboration, “Drive You Loopy” is a sandy, sun-kissed cocktail of summer time and West Coast affect supposed to soundtrack hands-in-the-air drives in a topless Jeep, the ocean’s rush towards one’s toes, and every little thing in between. Vocal-centric and ruggedly textured with pop-punk guitar chords, “Drive You Loopy” has a heat, easygoing character that stands in stark distinction to a few of Nitti Gritti’s brasher dance/digital works. The Dancing Astronaut Supernova and SIDEPIECE constituent translate this character to a visible accompaniment that casts Matthew as the motive force of an ice cream truck. Viewers can see how the narrative unfolds under, in an extension of “Drive You Loopy” that sees each artists discover their musical center floor with ease.
