In celebration of the eight-year anniversary of her DVINE Sounds imprint, house music virtuoso Sam Divine is meeting the moment by virtue of a stunning new song, “Face In The Crowd.”
“Face In The Crowd” features a stentorian Hayley May, whose soulful topline explores the urge to surrender to the gravitational pull of a love within grasp. She belts atop Divine’s spellbinding production, a slow-burning blend of spacey pads and commanding chords that transfixes us with tinctures of fluttering arpeggios.
With its driving basslines, subtle brass stabs and infectious percussion, the track’s drop perfectly encapsulates DVINE’s mission to cultivate “a platform for likeminded house heads.” Since its launch back in 2015, the label has served as a home for exuberant and carefree house music, releasing standout records by the likes of Black V Neck, SOHMI and other promising producers.
