LP Giobbi Makes Defected Records Debut With Head-Turning Single, "Giodisco"
The piano house queen cannot be stopped.
LP Giobbi has made her long-awaited Defected Records debut with her today’s release of “Giodisco,” an instant club anthem patiently waiting to set dancefloors ablaze. The new track embodies summertime, capturing the uplifting energy that can only be found dancing in the blistering sun.
Giobbi’s done a masterful job painting a vibrant soundscape with her typically infectious percussive rhythms and blissed-out keys. It’s an impressive debut on the Defected imprint, which was named EDM.com‘s best record label of 2022.
The surging Giobbi has had a career year in 2023, solidifying her status as one of house music’s brightest stars. Last month, she released her deeply personal debut album, Light Places. She also released a unique remix album of Jerry Garcia’s Garcia as well as remixes of Pete Tong’s “Free (Do What U Want)” and Röyksopp’s “Feel It,” among others.
