Former Slipknot Drummer Jay Weinberg joins Suicidal Tendencies

Jay Weinberg, the previous Slipknot drummer who was fired from the band, has now revealed that he has joined Suicidal Tendencies.

In December of final 12 months, Slipknot shared an official assertion on social media, claiming that they have been “intent on evolving”, and made the “inventive determination” that Weinberg will go away the band. “Once I consider the tradition and group of heavy music that I’ve beloved and regarded my inventive dwelling for 20 years, I consider Suicidal Tendencies: a foundational pillar and supply of inspiration ever since I fell in love with punk, metallic, and hardcore,” Weinberg wrote in a submit on his Instagram account.
He continued: “Having toured and performed exhibits collectively all around the world, I’ve been so lucky to grow to be mates with my musical heroes who’ve been part of this band’s unimaginable historical past.
“It’s an absolute honor and privilege to play with Suicidal Tendencies, and I can’t wait to begin this extremely thrilling new chapter in only one week. See you all within the pit!”
Weinberg joined Slipknot forward of the discharge of the band’s 2014 album ‘.5: The Grey Chapter’. He changed the unique drummer Joey Jordison, who left in December 2013 and died in 2021 on the age of 46.
