The band’s Ben Hozie has stated: “‘Myrtle Parade’ was a track I initially wrote for an earlier model of ‘Infinite Scroll’ nevertheless it was far too sunny and breezy to suit with the minimalism of that album. It’s a track set in a smoky DIY warehouse venue (Brookyln’s defunct and far missed Aviv) about feeling misplaced and going via the motions at a present the place the ambiance is cramped and the social nervousness is excessive. The verse lyrics function impressionistic snippets of overheard dialog on the venue the place I imagined gossip about Myrtle, a fictional scenester emblematic of the BK rock world I affiliate with the Myrtle Wyckoff and Myrtle Broadway subway stops.”
‘Our Model May Be Yr Life’ was a whole remake of Hozie and bandmate Nikki Belfiglio’s earlier band Bodega Bay’s sole album, a 33-track self-released document from 2015.
