BLACKPINK beforehand peaked at Quantity Two in the UK with their debut album, 2020’s ‘The Album’ (by way of the Official Charts Company).

Martin Talbot, Chief Govt on the Official Charts Firm, stated: “Congratulations to BLACKPINK.

“Being any form of chart first is a file which might by no means be taken away, so for his or her new album ‘Born Pink’ to grow to be the primary UK Official Quantity One by a Ok-pop woman group is a improbable achievement – and places them within the file books without end!”

Again in 2019, BTS grew to become the primary Korean act to hit Quantity One within the UK albums chart with ‘Map of The Soul: Persona’. Their 2020 file ‘Map Of The Soul: 7’ went on to attain the identical feat.

In a assessment of BLACKPINK’s new LP, NME wrote: “‘Born Pink’ is about defending BLACKPINK’s ‘authentic identification’ whereas experimenting with new components.

“Now that BLACKPINK appear to have whetted their urge for food for experimentation, let’s hope they go all the best way on the subsequent file – flip the script utterly, propelled by the arrogance that it doesn’t matter what they do, they’ll come out on prime.”

BLACKPINK’s forthcoming world tour consists of two exhibits at The O2 in London – take a look at the total checklist of UK/European dates right here.
