Dino Shadix’s ingenuity reveals on Disciple Spherical Desk-backed ‘Lil T-Rex’ EP – Dancing Astronaut

For bass music with imaginative sound design and heavy low-end presence, dance audiences are studying in real-time that they should be turning to Dino Shadix. This sentiment is confirmed by her sophomore EP, Lil T-Rex, issued through Disciple Spherical Desk. The follow-up to her debut EP, 2021’s Means Again When, is a multi-dimensional five-track package deal that flirts not solely with bass, but in addition with dubstep, together with experimental lofi dubstep (see “Regular Saurus”) Past the crisp, creative sound design audible throughout Lil T-Rex, it’s price mentioning that Dino Shadix’s choice of vocal samples is refined and on-target. Altogether, the EP, which bears no options or collaborations, underscores Dino Shadix as an up-and-comer deserving of consideration on end-of-year artist to observe lists.
