EDM.com Presents: The House Brew, Vol. 19

“Wash Away” – Bedouin
Bedouin’s debut album Temple Of Dreams is an introspective affair intended to be “a deep listening experience, not a collection of club cuts.”
“Wash Away” was the very first song written for the album, dating back to seven years ago. More than just a track that was patiently tucked away for a proper release, “Wash Away” set the tonal foundation for the LP, a mesh of the duo’s Middle Eastern heritage, Western upbringing, and global travels.
“I’m On Fire” – Nors Kode
Between the guitar plucks that pull at your heartstrings and the buoyant bass that feels like a warm hug, “I’m On Fire” is a melodic house gem that finds a fitting home on Lane 8’s This Never Happened imprint.
“So Good” (Deep Version) – Dim Kelly
Among the three versions of DIM KELLY’s latest single “So Good,” the “deep” version is a cut above the rest. On it, Lou Zweegers sultry vocals interplay seamlessly with spacey synths and punchy drums.
“This Is What It Feels Like” – &friends
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Armin van Buuren’s Grammy-nominated hit “This Is What It Feels Like,” &friends covered the dance-pop tune and transformed it into an organic house anthem.
“This record is about overcoming, triumphing despite all odds, bumps, bruises, and our deepest scars. It is a celebration, an honoring of how far we’ve come – at its core, this song speaks to the essential human need for connection and love,” &friends said. “This song speaks to the power of love to transform us, to give us purpose and meaning, and to sustain us through the darkest of times. It reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles, and that even in the midst of pain and loss, there is always hope for a brighter future.”
“Calon” – Overmono
“Calon” is a hazy, slowed-down house track off Overmono’s Good Lies LP. Or, as Overmono put it, a “sneaky banger.”
“Promises” (Tim Green Edit) – Hraach
Tim Green’s edit of “Promises” keeps Hraach’s jagged bass plucks and twirling synths center stage, embellishing them with shakers and a varied progression.
“KOKA” – REBRN
When a song starts rotating in Solomun’s sets, it’s bound to be a dancefloor smasher. “KOKA” is a prime example.
“Drums Power” – Marian (BR)
“Drums Power” is an ode to the spirit of rhythmic percussion. Tongue-in-cheek vocal samples, tribal drums, and bending bass come together to form a soundscape that does the song title justice.
“Guilty” – SNYL, Bonnie Spacey
With vocals as menacing as the synths surrounding it, “Guilty” is a brooding, peak-time techno scorcher.
“Flowcito” (Loco Dice Remix) – VLTRA & Francis De Simone
Loco Dice’s first release in over a year is a remix to celebrate the launch of his new imprint. “SB Recordings is more than just a label – it’s a movement,” he said. “We’re bringing people together through music, creating a community of like-minded individuals to bridge the gap between cultures and create a unifying sound that resonates globally.”
His remix of “Flowcito,” the inaugural release on SB Recordings, keeps the fiery, Latin house spirit of the original intact, peppering it with percussion to spice up the atmosphere.
