Emancipator and Lapa Launch Collaborative Home Album, "eleventh Orbit"
Following a sequence of formidable and experimental singles, Emancipator and Lapa have launched a full-length album, eleventh Orbit.
Out now through Emancipator’s personal Loci Data, eleventh Orbit spans 10 potent dancefloor heaters with unique and worldly composition. The document sees the longtime collaborative duo concocting new sonic flavors to their very own respective discographies, with Lapa laying down the groundwork for extra melodic home whereas Emancipator drives the muse of downtempo rhythms and instrumental electronica.
From the dripping synths of “Vortex Cortex” to the surprising disco breakdown of “Souldia,” eleventh Orbit explores a cheeky association of sounds and welcomes a recent outlook for the duo’s artistic partnership. The one different collaborator on the album is showcased on “Mamba,” as fellow Loci producer Marley Carroll peppers in crafty percussion and sonic textures for added depth.
“It was inspiring to discover new devices, results, and timbral mixtures as we stacked, blended and sifted layers of cosmic analog synthesizers melodious tones, and acoustic devices into these worlds of sound,” Emancipator said. “The method of scripting this album was completely different from earlier initiatives of ours in that it’s a from-the-ground-up fusion of our songwriting and productions kinds.”
