Emmy-winning music director needs to take Dr. Dre’s Tremendous Bowl Halftime Present on tour

Adam Blackstone, the Emmy-winning music director who labored on Dr. Dre‘s Tremendous Bowl Halftime Present, has mentioned that he needs to take the star-studded efficiency on tour.

Dre headlined the efficiency on the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California again in February, wherein he carried out alongside Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Anderson .Paak and 50 Cent.

The Halftime Present sparked a surge in subsequent gross sales of Dre and Eminem’s albums, whereas Dre, Eminem and Snoop had been all pictured within the studio collectively not too long ago.

Chatting with Variety after he picked up the Emmy for Excellent Music Path for his work on the Halftime Present, Blackstone mentioned that his imaginative and prescient for the efficiency was for it to be “an important music present”.

“It wasn’t about Black or white. It wasn’t about hip-hop versus pop music,” he mentioned. “I pleasure myself on making that an important music present that may proceed to indicate the legacy of every of these artists.”

Blackstone added: “Individuals can’t be mad at me saying, ‘You need to have added that’. Mary might do 12 minutes by herself. So might Snoop and Dre. It was my job to curate a playlist, and also you get your favorite artist for 90 seconds.”

Trying to the longer term, Blackstone mentioned that he was now “calling out” Dre, Eminem, Snoop, Kendrick, Blige, .Paak and 50 Cent, including: “Let’s take this on the street.”

Final month, Dre was pictured within the studio with Diddy – with the latter saying that the expertise was a “dream come true”.
