Gentle Minds’ ‘IT WON’T DO’ EP lands on Overseas Household Collective

Gentle Minds has formally capped off his long-awaited IT WON’T DO EP with an identically titled new single. The GRAMMY-nominated artist initiated the mission rollout in August of 2021 with “NO SKIN,” that includes Frameworks. Three singles later, Gentle Minds turns within the fifth and ultimate inclusion, “IT WON’T DO,” on his now-formalized prolonged play file, streaming in every single place on ODESZA’s globally famend Overseas Household imprint.
After the primary joint effort, “NO SKIN,” Gentle Minds progressively rolled out solo choices “MACHINE,” “HAUNTED,” and “DEVOTION,” respectively. Whereas the mission’s early-release singles evoked darker, extra melancholic undertones, the Melbourne native’s ultimate addition proves to be extra lighthearted and enjoyable whereas sustaining sonic consistency with the remainder of the mission. On “IT WON’T DO,” Gentle Minds defined,
“After making much more severe, darker music these previous two years I began to really feel like I actually needed to drop one thing on the extra uplifting and cheerful facet of issues; an entire facet of this mission that has been uncared for for some time. In the meantime, the tempo and temper of songs on my private playlists had additionally been creeping up these final 6 months, so it felt liberating and like a pleasant change of tempo to place one thing so carefree and enjoyable on the market.”
