Halifax, Canada’s Cloverdale has bought one more high-octane tech-house import, and by observe’s finish, its title—”Hit The Dancefloor”—turns into much less of a directive and extra of an urge. Touted by the Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2021 as a report that “means enterprise,” “Hit The Dancefloor” marks Cloverdale’s hau5trap debut, and it’s one performed with bassline-threaded pomp and circumstance. With its four-on-the-floor group and “love affair between the pounding kick and sultry vocal,” as Cloverdale calls it, “Hit The Dancefloor” is heady fodder for precisely that: the dance flooring.
“Hit The Dancefloor” is Cloverdale’s second manufacturing of 2022 to this point, trailing January’s “TALKIN” alongside DJ Susan.
