Le Castle Vania Drops New EP of Music Produced for "John Wick: Chapter 4" Soundtrack

After nearly four years since the last installment in the John Wick franchise, “Baba Yaga” has a series of new grooves.
Le Castle Vania has been the mastermind behind the high-octane sounds of the Keanu Reeves-led franchise since its early days. That trend continues with the release of his new EP, Himmel und Hölle (From John Wick: Chapter Four).
The brooding EP spans four cinematic singles that combine elements of synthwave, midtempo bass and even phonk music. The marquee thriller of the lot is “Blood Code,” a tense arrangement driven by heart-pounding basslines that will leave you fastened on the edge of your seat.
Similarly, “Wetwork” and “A Long Way Down” engage the fight-or-flight response with the interplay of eerie melodies, grandiose impacts and grungy basslines. The EP draws to a close with “Osaka Phonk,” a unique fusion of distortion-heavy hip-hop elements and Far Eastern influence.
Having worked on the beloved film franchise in a soundtracking capacity for years, few are as attuned to the spirit of the series as Le Castle Vania. Recently, the renowned composer and electronic music producer has also floated the idea of bringing an animated John Wick series to fruition.
