Mac DeMarco joins Myd on Ed Banger release, ‘Moving Men’

French producer Myd, signed to Ed Banger Records‘ ranks, has released an animated music video to his newest track, “Moving Men,” featuring Canadian indie god Mac DeMarco.
Anchored to a jovial, uptempo whistle, the track chimes along vibrantly with fluttering synthwork and DeMarco’s staple quirky-yet-mellow vocals. The lyrics run perfectly with the goofy visual of the two artists as moving men, doing their “duties,” while of course taking some time to metaphorically stop and smell the roses while doing so.
DeMarco, fresh off his fourth studio album, 2019’s Here Comes the Cowboy, has successfully carved out his lane in the indie world, though he’s known to be stylistically adventurous. He’s worked with artists including Benny Sings, Yellow Days, ahead of his collaborative cut with Myd. Moreover, Busy P’s veteran imprint of French forward-thinkers has also been known to be stylistically divergent at the right times, making this Mac DeMarco feature a cozy, on-brand fit.
