Marc Benjamin, Marcus Santoro, and David Pietras finally submit elusive Axtone ID, ‘Losing Focus’ – Dancing Astronaut

Axtone abruptly shook up the dance music cosmos in October when the legendary imprint disclosed that a long-awaited ID from the label boss’ Tomorrowland 2018 performance would be unwrapped before the year said its goodbyes. While it may not have been the fan-favorite Axwell and Years cut, “Bliss,” Marc Benjamin, Marcus Santoro, and David Pietras were the masterminds behind another sought-after record from the Swede’s summer set, and more than two years later, “Losing Focus” has formally been given the green light.

“Losing Focus” simultaneously sits on both ends of the house spectrum, with two distinguishable versions being shared to satiate the pop-leaning enthusiasts and progressive house diehards alike. Considering how coveted the latter form has been since its original entrance at the Belgian festival, Marc Benjamin, Marcus Santoro, and David Pietras’ alliance exceedingly follows through on its ultimate reading, shedding the live edition’s blend with Axwell’s “Center Of The Universe” for a pristine progressive house instrumental.
