Mau P, Kevin de Vries take the ‘Metro’ to one of Afterlife’s most-awaited IDs – Dancing Astronaut

Here’s a sentence that comes as a nice pat on the back for ourselves: Two of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists to Watch in 2023 are on Dancing Astronaut‘s reigning Label of the Year with one of our favorite IDs of the year. The three names to fill in those three blanks: Mau P, Kevin de Vries, and Afterlife. But the wait for “Metro” has finally come to an end after being a part of just about every single Tale Of Us tracklist from the end of 2022 up until now.

If “Metro” feels any bit nostalgic, that’s by design. Mau P and Kevin de Vries turned the clock back all the way to 2006 to fully modernize Nico Parisi and Eric Hubo’s trance classic of the same name. And they gave it a 360-degree overhaul of electrifying, heart-pumping melodic-techno, with one listen being more than enough to understand why it ultimately made a case to be the single most sought-after ID from Tale Of Us’ sets everywhere from Ultra to Coachella to all of the Afterlife showcases. “Metro” couldn’t have come at a more opportune time for both Mau P and Kevin de Vries, who are both making their respective debuts at Tomorrowland during weekend one and weekend two later this month. Enjoy what will undoubtedly find itself on Dancing Astronaut‘s top tracks of the year when it’s all said and done below.
