Nicky Romero dons his Monocule hat for ‘On My Thoughts’ with Tim van Werd – Dancing Astronaut

Nicky Romero is reassuming his Monocule garb for a sultry new single produced alongside Tim van Werd, “On My Thoughts.” As with many Monocule releases, piano merges with moody vocals and usually darkish themes that lure listeners into Monocule’s crepuscular manufacturing.
Romero beforehand contextualized the Monocule sound and its parts in his Saturday Evening Session with Dancing Astronaut. “Every time [the song] is darker with a theme or a narrative to inform, it’s Monocule,” he remarked. “Nicky Romero songs are like a movie with a starting and an finish. Monocule songs are every a chapter of a bigger story.”
