Timmy Trumpet Unleashes His Triumphant Debut Album ‘Mad World’ [LISTEN]

Enter the world of Timmy Trumpet — the Mad World.

The DJ/producer and multi-instrumentalist just unleashed his triumphant debut album, which tells his unique artistic story and encompasses a plethora of electronic sub-genres. The 18-track epic collection features collaborations with R3HAB, Scooter, Vini Vici, Vengaboys and Gabry Ponte, and 11 brand new, previously unheard productions.

Timmy Trumpet shares of his highly-anticipated release:

I’ve been a trained Jazz musician and composer most of my life and I’ve been dreaming of the day when I finally release an artist album. I went into this experience with no limitations or expectations on myself or what others may expect from me or have come to know of me.

This album represents all of me, and all of what inspires me the most. The people, my fans, my family, my friends. The people that make everything we go through in life worth it no matter what challenges we face. They make me who I am, and this is what I have made for them in return. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I’ve loved making it.

Recently, Timmy Trumpet ranked in the Top 10 of the 2020 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs. Riding the high of his successes, his debut album couldn’t have come at a better time.

Mad World is dubbed, “the official soundtrack of 2020 – an ode to an era we will never forget.”

Baauer drops outrageous mixtape, ‘The Boptape’ – Dancing Astronaut

“I actually listened to this mixtape about three days ago, and it rocked me so hard I shit a huge stone-hard log…” This outro, pulled from “The Sherriff Of Midi,” is just one example of the absurdity of Baauer‘s new mixtape, The Boptape. Fresh off a Grammy nomination for his seminal PLANET’S MAD, Baauer returns with “19 mutant songs” stuffed with ridiculous transitions, samples from every genre under the sun, and of course, speaker-knocking beats.

To name just a few, The Boptape‘s eclectic samples include Dropkick Murpheys’ “I’m Shipping Up To Boston,” Lil Baby’s highly memed “wah wah wah,” a verse from Drake, and the viral “Hmmm” freestyles. From top to bottom, The Boptape never fails to surprise and excite, despite being Baauer’s most experimental work to date.

All in all, the light-hearted atmosphere of the Twitch streams the project was created in oozes out of the tracks, making for one of the most fun projects of the year. Stream it below, or watch the mixtape’s visualizers on Baauer’s YouTube.

Saint Punk Puts Unique Twist On Ookay’s “The Pit”

Thriving producer Saint Punk has put his unique twist of grunge house sound on Ookay & Cesqeaux’s latest track, “The Pit”. Since his debut in 2018, Saint Punk has taken his rock music background and combined the gritty elements from rock with the bass heavy elements of electronic productions. Those elements shine in “The Pit”, especially Saint Punk’s signature persistent, staccato drums. While the original “The Pit” doesn’t fall short on the hype scale, Saint Punk’s remix keeps a consistent energy that will be sure to feed mosh pits on dance floors in the future!

Ookay & Cesqeaux – “The Pit (Saint Punk Remix)” is available now on Ookay’s own label, The Woodwerk !

Slash names new Gibson “Victoria” guitar after person who stole his old ones

Slash has revealed that he’s named his new “Victoria” Les Paul Standard Goldtop after the thief who stole his guitars.

The Guns N’ Roses guitarist unveiled the latest instrument in his ongoing collection with Gibson earlier this week (December 1) but omitted an interesting detail from the initial announcement.

Slash explained to Consequence Of Sound that he was hoping to release a gold-top guitar following the launch of several colour-topped Les Paul Standards.

He then went on to explain why he was so keen for a gold version. “Back in the late ’90s, I had a bunch of guitars stolen out of my studio in my house,” he told the publication. “I’ve actually managed to get [just about] all the guitars back, but I never knew exactly who was behind the theft. And one of the guitars I didn’t get back was a Goldtop that was stolen.

“So, I’ve been trying to find another Goldtop to replace it over the years. Then at some point I found out who was responsible for the theft, not long ago, and her name was Victoria, so I decided to name the guitar after her!”

In related news, Slash’s son, London Hudson, has been in the spotlight recently owing to him forming a new band with other sons of famous rock stars.

Suspect208, which features Hudson alongside the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo and the son of late Stone Temple Pilots‘ singer Scott Weiland, shared their debut single last month.

Since then, fans have compared the single ‘Long Awaited’ to the sound of Velvet Revolver – the early noughties supergroup that included both Slash and Weiland.

Meanwhile, Big Sean has revealed that he’s held onto “a couple of skulls” that Slash left at the house he bought off him.

David Guetta & MORTEN Revamp Fleetwood Mac Classic “Dreams” for the Dance Floor [LISTEN]

David Guetta and MORTEN just reworked a Fleetwood Mac classic, “Dreams,” into something shiny, inspirational, and new.

After eight prodigious Future Rave collaborations, the dynamic duo drastically switches gears to revamp the 1970s hallmark song. It’s smooth and entrancing for the modern dance floor, but built big room style, suitable for the future main stage.

The expert production features a dazzling vocal performance from rising star Lanie Gardner. Guetta first discovered her cover on YouTube, immediately fell in love with it, and invited her to record in studio. Together, with MORTEN, they’ve uncovered a powerhouse musical pairing.

This is, notably, Guetta’s first cover since he took on Nancy Sinatra‘s “Bang Bang,” which he transformed into “Shot Me Down” featuring Skylar Grey. Now, this take on “Dreams” will introduce a new generation of listeners to the magic of Fleetwood Mac.

The original recording of ‘Monsters’ (feat. blackbear) appears on All Time Low’s latest album ‘Wake Up, Sunshine‘, which entered the UK Official Album Chart at Number Three earlier this year. All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth said of Levato’s collaboration: “Demi’s been a friend for a long time and we’re really excited that she was down to lend her absolutely incredible voice to this song as we reimagine it and continue to celebrate all the ways it’s connecting with fans around the world.”

In other news, Gaskarth revealed that he and Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus have been working on new material for their project Simple Creatures while in lockdown.

“Having that sense of purpose and job that you still have to do regardless of what’s going on in the outside world is kind of grounding,” he told NME earlier this year.

And Lovato teamed up recently with Marshmello for a new awareness song called ‘OK Not To Be OK’, released to coincide with Wolrd Suicide Prevention Day on September 10.

According to a press release, the song – penned by Gregory “Aldae” Hein, James Gutch and James Nicholas Bailey – serves “as a humbling reminder that it’s ok to let go of feelings of self-doubt and embrace the fact that we’re all human”.
