Recognized for her characteristically groovy mix of home and techno, Korean digital celebrity Peggy Gou has eventually returned from a two-year hiatus from solo releases. Launched June seventh through her Berlin-based imprint Gudu Information, “Nabi” is a collaboration with OHHYUK that comes after 2019’s Second EP, which included the smash single “Starry Evening.”
Easygoing and sonically wealthy, “Nabi” is a blissful association of interweaving percussive parts and shiny, melodic chords. Its title interprets to “butterfly” in Korean, completely reflecting its resonant soundscape of glittering synths.
