Pillow Queens announce new album ‘Identify Your Sorrow’ and share new single ‘Gone’
Pillow Queens have introduced a brand new album titled ‘Identify Your Sorrow’ and have shared its lead single ‘Gone’.

The Irish indie rock band – comprised of Pamela Connolly, Sarah Corcoran, Rachel Lyons and Cathy McGuinness – are set to launch their third LP on April 19. ‘Identify Your Sorrow’ is out there for pre-save/pre-order here.
With lyrics “Tried to be your rock / However I’m simply your idiot / I might make it cease / however I’m not that cool / I used to be in your high 5 issues to do”, the album’s lead single ‘Gone’ describes the exiting of a collapsing relationship.
Talking concerning the monitor in a press launch, Pillow Queens mentioned “‘Gone’ is a music that appears into the vapid nature of temporary romantic encounters and the hyperbole that may turn out to be so monotonous, it makes you jaded.”

Talking concerning the album, The band mentioned: “It’s about phases of affection, loss and grief and the way they will all exist alongside each other–intertwined, messy, stunning–how each love and loss can coexist.”
In addition they credited Irish poet Eavan Bolan, English poet John Keats, and British author C.S. Lewis as literary inspirations whereas writing the LP and the likes of Vampire Weekend, Barbara Streisand, Frank Ocean, Software and Lana Del Rey as musical influences.
‘Identify Your Sorrow’ follows their 2022 LP ‘Go away the Mild On’ and their 2020 album ‘In Ready’.

In help of ‘Identify Your Sorrow’, Pillow Queens have introduced a 2024 UK and Eire tour. Kicking off on June 5 at Wardrobe in Leeds, the band will make their approach throughout the UK with stops in Bristol, London, Manchester and Glasgow. The string of dwell dates will finish on July 13 at Iveagh Gardens in Dublin which is able to mark their largest present so far.
