Skream and Prospa Team Up for Invigorating Collaboration, "Waiheke Island"

The latest from Skream is a feel-good collaboration with two artists he considers brothers.
According to a press release, the influential producer met the young Prospa duo while on tour in New Zealand and they immediately hit it off. Skream said that between their shows, they’d hit the studio and effortlessly blend their sounds, ultimately creating the new track we have in front of us today, “Waiheke Island.”
Named after an island in the Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand, the song is an energizing cup of coffee under the sun. Brisk percussive patterns ebb and flow as pearlescent keys tip-toe beneath uplifting vocal snippets. With its ethereal, isolated hymns and retrofuturistic sound design, “Waiheke Island” will assuredly make you seek out the nearest dancefloor.
“Waiheke Island” is out now on Skreamizm/Platoon. You can listen below and find the new collaboration on streaming platforms here.
