Spotify tests stories feature for playlists – Dancing Astronaut

While social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter have adopted the Snapchat-originated stories function, Spotify may be the latest in line to hop on the trend. The streaming giant was spotted testing the new feature in conjunction with its playlists, a few of which included the Christmas Hits playlist, Tear Drop emo rap playlist, and a version of Megan Thee Stallion‘s album Good News.

Built nearly identical to the well known stories interface, the new Spotify feature is located on the top left of supported playlists and can be accessed through tapping the icon. The content sighted thus far has consisted of short anecdotal clips from artists as related to the playlist. On Christmas Hits, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Lopez, and Pentatonix all provided videos detailing holiday-centric conversations.

Although Spotify has confirmed the new feature, it has not yet spoken to further plans to officially launch.
