Bruce Springsteen has shared his new cowl of ‘Don’t Play That Tune’ – you’ll be able to hearken to his rendition of the tune under.

Springsteen’s tackle ‘Don’t Play That Tune’ – which was initially written by Ahmet Ertegun and Betty Nelson, and notably recorded by Ben E. King in 1962 and Aretha Franklin in 1970 – has been accompanied by a Thom Zimny-directed video.

Talking about ‘Solely The Sturdy Survive’ upon its announcement final month, Springsteen stated: “I wished to make an album the place I simply sang. And what higher music to work with than the nice American songbook of the Sixties and Seventies?
“I’ve taken my inspiration from Levi Stubbs, David Ruffin, Jimmy Ruffin, the Iceman Jerry Butler, Diana Ross, Dobie Grey and Scott Walker, amongst many others. I’ve tried to do justice to all of them — and to the fabulous writers of this superb music.
“My aim is for the fashionable viewers to expertise its magnificence and pleasure, simply as I’ve since I first heard it. I hope you like listening to it as a lot as I cherished making it.”
Springsteen will head out on tour in 2023 together with his E Road Band, together with two sold-out reveals at London’s BST Hyde Park sequence.
