The Mars Volta announce first album in 10 years, share new single ‘Vigil’

The Mars Volta have shared particulars of their first album in a decade alongside the discharge of a brand new single referred to as ‘Vigil’.

The self-titled album, ‘The Mars Volta’, is launched on September 16 through Cloud Hill and marks the band’s first document since 2012’s ‘Noctourniquet’.

It follows the discharge of ‘Graveyard Love‘ final month and June’s comeback single ‘Blacklight Shine‘, each tracks of which characteristic on the brand new album.

The Texas-formed band launched six albums between 2003 and 2012 earlier than splitting resulting from a falling out between founding members Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López.
