Throughout the Oregon and Washington legs of Courtney Barnett‘s personal touring competition, Right here and There, she and Fred Armisen teamed up with Sleater-Kinney to cowl Olivia Newtown-John‘s 1981 hit ‘Bodily’.
The tribute closed out Sleater-Kinney’s units at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon on Saturday (August 20) and Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington on Sunday (August 21). Throughout their rendition, the band, Barnett and Armisen donned headbands and carried out a synchronised aerobics routine.

Newton-John died on August 8, aged 73, following a prolonged battle with breast most cancers. Following her demise, tributes poured in from the likes of Kylie Minogue, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Dionne Warwick and her Grease co-star John Travolta.
Others to have paid tribute to Newton-John embrace her husband John Easterling, ABBA, Mariah Carey, Insurgent Wilson and The Chicks, the latter of whom coated Grease tune ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’ throughout a live performance. Final week, throughout one in all their six reveals at London’s Wembley Stadium, Coldplay have been joined by Natalie Imbruglia to carry out Grease‘s ‘Summer time Nights’.
Barnett’s Right here and There competition kicked off in Kansas Metropolis earlier this month, continues this Friday (August 26) in Stanford, and can conclude in Denver subsequent month.
