Bonobo & TEED complete collaborative EP with ‘6000 Ft.’

With their second all-time track, Bonobo and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs share the final piece to their collaborative EP, Heartbreak / 6000 Ft. Their latest offering “6000 Ft.” is a warm, feel-good tune just barely on the downtempo side of melodic house. The instrumental track is carried by a groovy percussion loop and a seamless amalgamation of backing pads, choral vocals, and an infectious lead synth.

“6000 Ft.” is preceded by “Heartbreak,” an ’80s-style breakbeat track that provides the opening to the EP. “Heartbreak” was notably the first track released via Bonobo’s new label, OUTLIER, which was installed in partnership with Ninja Tune in late September. The Heartbreak / 6000 Ft. EP is the first extended release on the newly minted label, but Bonobo has indicated that more details about the imprint will arrive shortly.

Additionally, in celebration of the record’s 10th anniversary, Bonobo’s 2010 record Black Sands will be re-released with a special new vinyl package, including liner notes and an art print of the original cover image. The vinyl is currently available for pre-order.
