Seven years have passed since Ilan Bluestone‘s first re-imaginative outing on Enhanced Recordings, a rework of Tritonal and Underdown‘s 2013 Metamorphic I inclusion, “Bullet that Saved Me. In a return that could justifiably be dubbed “long overdue,” Bluestone now brings his remixing acumen back to the label for a take on Tritonal, Dylan Matthew, and Au5‘s “Happy Where We Are.”
Reducing the BPM from 150 to 132, Bluestone initiates a sonic overhaul of Tritonal, Dylan Matthew, and Au5’s original, converting it from melodic dubstep to progressive trance. The result is a revamp that makes atmospheric—and arguably, emotive—gains.
