Justin Bieber reveals collaborations with Khalid, The Kid LAROI and more on forthcoming album ‘Justice

Justin Bieber has revealed he collaborated with Khalid, The Kid LAROI and more on his forthcoming album ‘Justice’.

The Canadian pop star shared a photo on social media yesterday (March 11) that revealed the album’s tracklist and names of the artists set to feature on the record.

Previously released singles ‘Hold On’, ‘Anyone’, ‘Lonely’ with Benny Blanco and ‘Holy’ with Chance The Rapper appear on the board, along with new collaborations such as ‘As I Am’ featuring Khalid and ‘Unstable’ with The Kid LAROI.

Artists Daniel Caesar and Giveon are also named as collaborators for the song ‘Peaches’, while the name BEAM appears beside the track ‘Love You Diff’. Burna is written next to ‘Loved By You’, potentially indicating a Burna Boy feature.

Other songs include ‘2 Much’, ‘Deserve You’, ‘Off My Face’, ‘Die For You’, ‘Somebody’ and ‘Ghost’.

The record is set for release on March 19 via RBMG/Def Jam Recordings, and will mark Bieber’s sixth studio album.

It’s a swift follow-up to his previous record ‘Changes’, which arrived in February last year. The 17-tracker also comprised a host of features, including names such as Travis Scott, Post Malone, Kehlani and more.

His first album in five years, ‘Changes’ was met with weak reviews, receiving just two stars from NME.

“Overly reliant on trendy production and profound(ish) romantic proclamations, it’s a disappointing comeback from an artist who has a track record in creating hits,” NME said.

“It may be an album filled with sex jams and lovelorn lyrics, but sadly this is one romp that never reaches climax.”

Space Laces Unleashes ‘Vaultage 003’ Mixtape on Never Say Die [LISTEN]

For weeks, artists and fans alike have been buzzing ahead of the return of Space Laces. Today, he throws down the electric third edition of his VAULTAGE mixtape series, released on the UK-based bass music giant, Never Say Die.

VAULTAGE 003 can only be described as impressive. There are few calm stretches in the 20 minute and 17 second project— most moments are packed with extraterrestrial bass, danceable yet gritty beats or creative vocal sampling.

The mixtape opens with bass house, before transitioning to dubstep and back to bass house again, dabbling in a variety of genres and tempos along the way. At about nine minutes in, Space Laces drops listeners into an unexpected hardstyle segment before seamlessly returning to a midtempo beat.

The vocal samples in VAULTAGE 003 are mind-melting and even thought-provoking, at one point saying:

Your gesture suggests that you are in an uncomfortable place. Good for you. That’s always the best place to be. Being so uncomfortable means you’ll soon have to move. That’s the motivation that drives the journey of awakening.

Who knew dubstep could be so profound?

And even though one asked, my favorite drops of the project come in at 3:00, 7:28, 13:29, 15:10 and 16:58.

But don’t just take my word on the mixtape. Find the most capable speakers or headphones you have, plug in, and prepare for blast off with Space Laces.

Life Is Beautiful is the first festival to release lineup following vaccination roll-out

Bolting into 2021 as the first festival returning in a hopeful post-pandemic society, Life Is Beautiful has just divulged its massive three-day lineup. As if the thought alone of going to a music festival wasn’t already making live music connoisseurs jump for joy, the lineup of the downtown Las Vegas marvel has inevitably caused a frenzy of anticipation and excitement.

With headliners like Billie Eilish, Green Day, Tame Impala, A$AP Rocky, Glass Animals, Illenium, St. Vincent, and many more iconic artists set to perform, the event has finally gifted festival goers with a much needed pep in their step, to say the least.

While the event is planned for September 17-19, event planners and attendees both move forward with an obvious uncertainty for what the world may look like come fall 2021. Stepping forth with unwavering optimism, Life Is Beautiful’s Justin Weginer tells Forbes,

“The world changed in a month, so looking forward I think so many things will be different by September. We’re preparing as if there was a vaccine protocol. We’re also optimistic that there might not need to be. There’s a lot of things that can happen.”

Despite plenty of factors leaving the festival’s fate vaguely up in the air, both early bird GA and VIP tickets sold out in an hour.

Tickets officially go on sale March 12 and are projected to sell out just as quickly, with prospective attendees praying that these next seven months bounce back from what has been a devastating drought from live music.

The Weeknd says he will boycott the Grammys going forward

The Weeknd has declared he will boycott the Grammys going forward, and will not allow his label to submit his music for awards consideration.

This news comes after the Canadian singer’s absence from this year’s nominations. The nominations for this year’s awards were announced back in November, with Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Beyoncé leading the list.

The Weeknd, who released his latest album ‘After Hours’ in 2020, was not nominated. In response, the musician – real name Abel Tesfaye – tweeted that the Grammys “remain corrupt”, and said its organisers “owe me, my fans and the industry transparency”.

Now, in a statement to the New York Times, Tesfaye said he will no longer permit his label to submit his music for consideration in eligible Grammys categories. “Because of the secret committees, I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys,” he commented.

In response to Tesfaye’s statement, the Recording Academy’s interim chief executive Harvey Mason Jr. told the Times, “We’re all disappointed when anyone is upset. But I will say that we are constantly evolving. And this year, as in past years, we are going to take a hard look at how to improve our awards process, including the nomination review committees.”

The Weeknd’s accusation that the Grammys “remain corrupt” set off a media storm, with several artists – including Elton John and Mabel – weighing in on the awards show and some expressing support for Tesfaye.

Drake chimed in on Instagram, saying he thinks “we should stop allowing ourselves to be shocked every year by the disconnect between impactful music and these awards”.

“The other day I said The Weeknd was a lock for either album or song of the year along with countless other reasonable assumptions and it just never goes that way.”

Earlier this week, the Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ hit ‘Blinding Lights’ became the first song to ever spend an entire year in the Top 10 of the US Hot 100 singles chart. In the latest Hot 100 chart, published on March 9, ‘Blinding Lights’ appeared in the top 10 for its 52nd consecutive week.

Last month, US network Showtime confirmed that a documentary about the singer’s recent Super Bowl half-time performance was in the works.

The Grammys take place this Sunday (March 15), with the likes of BTS, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Megan Thee Stallion slated to perform. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak will also debut their new band Silk Sonic at the ceremony.

Yotto journeys to an ice-cold forest in Finland for a breathtaking stream [Watch] – Dancing Astronaut

A year into the COVID-19 pandemic and artists are still constantly managing to reinvent the DJ streaming space. Traveling to the deepest depths of Lapland, Finalnd, Yotto brought nothing beyond a small team, a generator, CDJs, drones, and filming equipment as he captured a jaw-dropping performance in a freezing -5°F environment across three consecutive days.

Making for one of the singlest most inventive DJ booths to date, Yotto and his team set up shop by actually carving out an area in the middle of the snow to stand in. Briefly troubled with a handful of “technical difficulties and lost drones,” the Odd One Out leader kept his hands warm as he soundtracked a desolate Finnish forest with more than an hour of astounding melodic numbers, including two unreleased collaborations with both Cristoph as well as Stephen Jolt, an incoming remix of Faithless‘ “I Need Somebody,” and an assortment of IDs from himself, Anden, and gardenstate.
