Los Angeles-based bass masterminds ETC!ETC! and SpydaT.E.K have been dominating their lanes in the worlds of trap and moombahton for years. With an impressive repertoire of releases on OWSLA, Mad Decent, Monstercat, and more between the duo, it was only natural that they team up for a collaborative smash.
“Sueltalo” is the titular track from ETC!ETC! and SpydaT.E.K’s forthcoming collaborative EP, and sees the pair deliver an energetic and danceable banger that’s primed to heat things up in the months ahead. With an enchanting moombahton groove, exotic percussion, and no shortage of bass, “Sueltalo” invites the listener to emulate its title, which translates to “let loose.”

“It’s what we were doing in the studio! The two tracks were just how we were feeling in the moment, and you can tell they are both fun tracks,” ETC!ETC! told EDM.com. “Even though there are no open clubs right now, you can jam to these tracks anywhere!”
ETC!ETC! and SpydaT.E.K’s Sueltalo EP is out tomorrow, February 19th via Slow Roast Records. You can pre-save the record here.
In January, MK launched his partnership with Jaguar with his new single “Lies” featuring Raphaella. Jaguar began its global campaign with a 30-second TV ad, and now they’ve doubled down with an extended “F-PACE Film.” The new ad gives MK space to briefly speak on his relationship with tech, cars, and music.
According to Jaguar, the F-PACE campaign “features a series of artists from music and entertainment to photography and fashion showcasing the Jaguar brand commitment to supporting the creative industries,” but Jaguar hasn’t named any other future partners yet. To complement the ad campaign, MK curated a playlist full of new house singles and old classics, of course including his newest single. “Lies” is MK’s second track with Raphaella following their 2019 hit “One Night” with Sonny Fodera.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced a crowdfunder to raise funds for their live crew after their livelihoods were severely impacted by COVID-19.
The band were forced to cancel their 2021 tour at the end of last year, resulting in further financial hardship for their road crew – many of whom work on a freelance basis and have been unable to access government funding or support schemes.
Now, it’s hoped that a new fundraiser will help to support their basic living costs – with fans paying to enter a prize draw that could see them landing one of over 100 impressive prizes donated by the band.
As well as signed guitars and keyboards, other prizes include gift vouchers, limited edition prints and many more.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are holding a draw of over 100 prizes to raise funds to help support their tour crew, whose livelihoods have been badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. More details and enter here: https://t.co/xGWxcBPwN1pic.twitter.com/NEfVhqC9PQ
The crowdfunder launches today (Thursday 18 February) and tickets can be purchased until 6:00 pm GMT Friday 12th March 2021.
A brief message on the Crowdfunder page states: “Work for our crew has vanished. As freelancers, there has been little or no support on offer to them from the authorities, and available work elsewhere is currently almost non-existent.
“We have supported our direct crew as best as we can, but we thought we’d also have a bit of fun with a prize draw to help raise funds for them.”
A separate crowdfunder has also been recently launched by #ILoveLive – with the likes of Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Muse and Frank Turner all donating prizes for the draw.
“The #ILoveLive campaign on Crowdfunder is critical to supporting the ‘behind the scenes’ workers in the live music industry,” said Crowdfunder’s Rob Love. “Without roadies, there won’t be a live events industry, even when COVID restrictions are lifted.
“Crowdfunding is a way for communities to come together to support causes close to their heart, and this is a great example of how the music industry is pulling together to help each other in a time of need.”
Las Vegas got a whole lot cooler when Area 15 came to town. The immersive art and entertainment complex opened to the community just minutes from the strip back in September 2020. The brainchild of Michael Beneville, a 10-year Burning Man veteran, the venue has been five years in the making and is sure to stun and awe all who visit.
The complex is now preparing for its first live electronic music performance. Dance music duo Disco Fries has earned the coveted first set, which will go down on Saturday, March 13th inside “The Portal,” Area 15’s event space. With a magnificent 360° projection-mapped room, the venue’s unique clubbing environment is something to marvel at.

The event will follow COVID-19 safety regulations with lounge-style table seating that fits up to six people. However, this isn’t your average concert. The exclusive performance requires all reservations to be made in advance with a whopping $750 to $1,000 minimum beverage spend required per table. There will be no general admission tickets and all who attend must be over the age of 21.
If that is out of your price range, fear not. Entrance into Area 15 is free but should be secured early due to social distancing guidelines. While you’re there you can check out the numerous interactive experiences featured at the compound, including a special installation from renowned Santa Fe art collective Meow Wolf.

Joining his latest “ID” remix from REAPER, the equally mysterious Deathpact, has offered fans with three additional reworks from the likes of Claude VonStroke, CloZee, and Code Orange. In usual Deathpact fashion, the bass house vixen has done things a little differently, opting to release the original only after the roll out of his remix series for the track.
Pulling from a range of different names in the industry with the aforementioned remix crew, Deathpact has ostensibly offered fans a wide array of bass-enveloped soundscapes. The remix pack spans from Code Orange’s grim and haunting persuasion, to CloZee’s reverberating sonic mastery, to the hypnotic and stupefying house rendition from VonStroke.
While Deathpact remains shrouded under a veil of anonymity, his body work speaks for itself. Most notably working with the likes of REZZ, 1788-L, and seen all over the Deadbeats imprint, Deathpact evidently has only revealed the tip of his arsenal. Thankfully, fans will be seeing more of him this coming year as he plans to invoke a new immersive experience that is said to be “rooted in the concept of duality, division, and regeneration,” according to a recent press release. Until then, stream the latest “ID” remixes below.

Framing BritneySpears has reportedly broken UK viewing figures less than 24 hours after release.
The documentary, presented by The New York Times, premiered on Sky Documentaries in the UK on Tuesday (February 16).
According to Metro, over 220,000 people tuned in to watch the UK premiere on the first night it aired, which would make Framing Britney Spears the most-watched programme in the channel’s history.
The film looks back on a number of interviews from the singer’s early career, and portrays Spears’ mental health issues surrounding the loss of custody of her two children to her ex-husband.
The #FreeBritney movement is also explained, as the musician’s fanbase have been campaigning for her to be released from her father’s conservatorship.
Jamie Spears’ conservatorship means that he controls his daughters finances and career decisions, without her being able to make any choices herself.
Last week (February 10), a judge ruled that Jamie would no longer have the right to delegate investment powers for the multi-million-dollar estate, after he was criticised as part of the #FreeBritney movement.
In a four-star review of Framing Britney Spears, NME said: “For obvious reasons, it offers no satisfying conclusion because Spears’ legal battle to rework the terms of her conservatorship is ongoing.
“But it’s impossible not to come away hoping that the singer’s wishes – whatever they may be – are listened to in the very near future.”
Two days after announcing a brand new mix, ODESZA and GoldenFeatures‘ collaborative project BRONSON has delivered on the hype with one of 2021’s best sets.
The hourlong mix, which aired today and cycled through a hypnotic blend of the group’s originals and remixes, was the 12th episode of Foreign Family Collective‘s “Broadcast Intermission” series. Check out the full audiovisual set below.
Meanwhile on the ODESZA front, the famed duo recently took to Twitter to update fans on the prospect of new music, writing, “hi guys we workin I promise.” It’s been nearly four years since the release of September 2017’s momentous A Moment Apart album, which received a Grammy nod in the “Best Dance/Electronic Album” category.
Golden Features, on the other hand, is set to headline Brisbane’s Wildlands Weekenderfestivalon March 6th and recently started writing his sophomore album. Currently untitled, the record will follow 2018’s breakthrough Sect LP and will consist of solo material. “This past year the focus was on collaborations, both of which were dreams come true,” he wrote in a December 20th, 2020 tweet. “Now it’s time to go back to solo Golden Features work. Feels amazing.”
Foreign Family Collective debuted its “Intermission Broadcast” series back in March 2020, inviting TOKiMONSTA, Whethan, SG Lewis, to air exclusive mixes. You can listen to more “Intermission Broadcast” episodes here.
The collision of SNBRN, BIJOU, and CeCe Rogers‘ cosmic grooves has yielded a bouncy Ultra Records release, “Poison.” Marking both SNBRN and BIJOU’s first single of 2021, “Poison” employs energetic basslines, emphatic chords, and funky melodies over Rogers’ soulful vocals, cataloging a blazing hot house track.
Notably, “Poison” is the collaborative follow-up to SNBRN’s remix of BIJOU’s “New Ways to Love” featuring Bekah, which landed on Diamond CityRemixed in October of 2020. “Poison” also signals SNBRN’s return to Ultra Records; the producer previously released the Malcolm Anthony & Anthony Isaiah-assisted “James Brown” the Alpha Londyn feature “Obsession” via the label.

Chris Cornell’s wife Vicky is reportedly suing the surviving members of Soundgarden after they attempted to buy out her stake in her late husband’s band for what she has called a “ludicrously low” price.
According to Variety, the three remaining Soundgarden members offered Ms Cornell less than $300,000 (£217,000) for her share in the band’s masters, publishing royalties and other revenue. Vicky Cornell inherited her stake in the band’s profits following Chris Cornell’s passing in 2017.
In response to the purported offer made by Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepard, Ms Cornell has reportedly announced plans to sue, issuing a statement and calling for the band’s assets to be professionally valued.
“This action has been necessitated by the self-serving and heartless actions of the remaining members of the band Soundgarden, who are seeking to rob from their former bandmate, Chris Cornell (‘Chris’), his wife (‘Vicky’), and their minor children, Chris’ legacy and life’s worth, which has made them millions of dollars,” an excerpt from the statement reads.
“The band members have knowingly offered only an infinitesimal fraction of the true worth of Chris’ interest in Soundgarden and certain related entities by making a ludicrously low offer. And, they know it.”
Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil, and Ben Shepherd
As Rolling Stone reports, Cornell’s lawsuit claims that access to documents which would allow her to value Soundgarden’s inventory has been withheld.
In response, a representative for Soundgarden said that “the surviving members of Soundgarden submitted to the Cornell Estate four months ago a buyout offer of the Estate’s interests in Soundgarden calculated by respected music industry valuation expert Gary Cohen.
“Since then, the band members have continued to try to settle all disputes with the Cornell Estate and in their several attempts to settle, the band members have elected to offer multiple times more than the amount calculated by Cohen. This dispute has never been about money for the band. This is their life’s work and their legacy.”
The band’s alleged offer follows on from a buyout attempt made by Ms Cornell herself late last year. After rejecting her bid of $4million each to buy out their interests, the three surviving Soundgarden members allegedly also turned down a $7million-a-head offer from Ms Cornell.
Vicky Cornell’s lawsuit is the latest chapter in the legal saga between herself and Soundgarden. In late 2019, she sued the band over the rights to several unreleased Soundgarden songs, claiming the tracks entitled her to “hundreds of thousands of dollars” in royalties.
The band sued Cornell in 2020, alleging that she repurposed funds raised by a charity concert, organised as a tribute to her late husband, for her personal needs. The group subsequently dropped part of the lawsuit.
Earlier in the month of February, Jaguar released a new advert with house music luminary MK, who teamed up with the storied luxury vehicle brand to promote its new F-PACE performance SUV. The ad was soundtracked by MK’s new single “Lies,” a track created alongside Raphaella that is as smooth as the car’s Windsor leather interior.
MK has now unveiled a video offering fans a deeper look into the unique collaboration, which was born out of a desire to explore the intersection of music automotive tech. “I’m in the business of creating heightened moments,” MK says before waxing poetic about how his musical journey has come full circle from the genesis of his career, when he discovered synthesizers growing up in the 80s.
You can find “Lies” across streaming platforms here. MK also curated an exclusive playlist for Jaguar, which you can check out below.
