The red and white clip sees a car driving down a dimly lit motorway, with billboards of the band members flashing by periodically.

At one point, the car drives under a bridge with graffiti paying tribute to late AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young. “This one’s for Mal,” it reads.

Watch the ‘Demon Fire’ video below.

In a recent interview with NME, Angus discussed the death of his brother Malcolm, declaring that ‘Power Up’ is an album “for Malcolm”, adding: “His death was a huge blow to us, but I still think he’s there when I’m playing.”

Reviewing ‘Power Up’, NME wrote: “As with all good AC/DC albums, the band’s commitment to unrelenting silliness on this record cannot be ignored either – even if you sense that they are in on the increasingly surreal images they present.”

The review added: “This is, all considered, a kick up the arse at a time when we need it the most.”

Angus also recently discussed the band’s consistent sound across the years, declaring their hard rock sonic identity is “what we do best”.

“As my brother used to say, when somebody said, ‘Every album you’ve ever made sounds the same,’ he said, ‘Yeah. It’s the same band’. When we started, we weren’t reinventing the wheel. This is what we do best — we make rock and roll.”

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano submit final release of 2020, ‘What If’ featuring Hannah Ellis – Dancing Astronaut

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano are closing 2020 with one final original: “What If” featuring Hannah Ellis. The single is an undeniably easy listen what with Ellis’s crystalline vocals reverberating in and out of the production picture. Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano fluctuate between moments of delicate bass notes that subtly frame the vocals and catchy breaks substantiated by a high-pitched and upbeat note progression.

The label favorites discussed their inspiration for the single in an official release, stating,

“Once we received Hannah’s vocals, we were immediately inspired to create this track. It came together [very naturally], which is easy when you get to work with such an amazing voice. To us, it’s the perfect follow-up to ‘Life After You’ and a song we’re really proud of.”

“What If” is out now via Armada Music.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie arrested at his home on gun and drug charges

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has been arrested after police allegedly discovered guns and marijuana at his home.

The discovery was reportedly made at the rapper’s home in Demarest, New Jersey, and he has been charged with weapons and marijuana possession and a disorderly persons violation.

According to NorthJersey.com, his manager also faces drug charges and his personal security guard faces charges of illegal weapons possession as a result of the search.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

While New Jersey residents voted to legalise recreational marijuana, it is currently illegal in the state.

In January 2019, he topped the Billboard 200 chart in the US with his album ‘Hoodie SZN’, despite having sold only 823 physical copies.

As the New York Times reports, the vast majority of the figures that skyrocketed the rapper to the top spot were via accumulated streams. Figures show that 20 songs on Boogie’s album were streamed 83 million times, which equates to having shifted 58,000 units.

In July, he also teamed up with Lil Uzi Vert and Don Q on the track ‘Flood My Wrist’.

He is yet to comment on his arrest.

England Exempts Performing Artists & Musicians from 2-Week Quarantine

Performing artists and musicians entering England may be exempt from coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine regulations moving forward.

New rules from the Department for Transport state that DJs and other artists traveling for business-related ventures, even from high-risk areas, will not need to self-isolate for the previously mandatory two-week period. Performers certified by the Arts Council England will be exempt, with official guidance to be published soon.

This means it may become easier for promoters and DJs to work together abroad. However, exemptions may only be made for artists considered “high-value” and terms are “subject to specific criteria being met.” From the sounds of it, there are a lot of hoops to jump through.

For now, the exemption for performing artists and musicians is exclusively available in England, with Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland awaiting approval on similar new measures.

Stay tuned for more info.

ARMNHMR instill euphoria on six-track EP, ‘A Thousand Dreams’ – Dancing Astronaut

ARMNHMR have shared a treasure of melodic gems with their new EP titled, A Thousand Dreams, released via Dim Mak Records. The six-track package obtains emotional heights and euphoric sensations as the Southern Californian duo tap into the lyrical and vocal talents of guest collaborators Melanie Fontana, GLNNA, Soundr, Monika Santucci, Azuria Sky, and Linney.

A Thousand Dreams, adheres to the same melodic prospect as ARMNHMR’s debut album, The Free World, released in February. The follow-up EP rouses a heavy mix of electronic sub-genres, notably witnessing future and melodic bass climatically clash. The intensity of productions is complemented by comforting states of tranquility, workshopped by handful of up-and-coming producers such as KLAXX, SHSTR, NvrLeft, and Heimanu who assist on tracks “Somebody To Love,” “Learn To Love,” “When I Fall,” and “This Is Goodbye.”

My Chemical Romance share ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge’ themed teaser

My Chemical Romance have shared a new teaser, which harks back to their 2004 album ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge’.

The band announced their long-awaited reunion last year, and will head out on a rescheduled world tour in 2021, after 2020 dates were postponed due to coronavirus.

The band have now shared an atmospheric new teaser on social media. The video features a burning rose, soundtracked by ‘Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge’ track ‘Give ‘Em Hell Kid’. Watch that below.

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the exact same teaser was posted by makeup company HipDot, who wrote: “Here’s a hint…COMING SOON.”

Another fan has posted a screengrab of a web page on Twitter, revealing purchase options for MCR-related makeup products, including a brush and a liner. See that below.

My Chemical Romance began their reunion tour with a Los Angeles show in December 2019. Reviewing the gig, NME wrote: “About half the set felt like it was an epic finale. There were tears, oh there were a lot of tears. It was physically impossible to stand in that room and not understand to the core of your being why this band means so much to so many people.”

Last month, frontman Gerard Way sparked fresh speculation that new music from the band could be on the way after he posted a cryptic artistic image on Instagram.

A heavily-edited image posted to the platform by Way appears to show a statue draped in darkness amid scrawled lighting effects, causing some to believe that Way could be teasing artwork from a future MCR release.

House Passes MORE Act to Decriminalize Marijuana, Not Expected to Pass Senate

A bill decriminalizing marijuana has passed through the House of Representatives, marking the first time that Congress has voted on the issue.

The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act or MORE Act would decriminalize cannabis and erase non-violent federal marijuana convictions. With Friday’s vote of 228-164 in favor of the bill, the “legalize marijuana” movement is gaining steam.

However, the fate of the MORE Act being passed into law now relies on the Senate. According to a report, “it stands almost no chance” of becoming a law at this moment.

Arun Kurichety of Petalfast, a company that works on marketing, merchandising, and branding cannabis, said the news is more of a “symbolic step in the right direction.”

The passage of the MORE Act is a great step in terms of recognizing the injustices present in the criminal justice system, but unfortunately, this is all largely symbolic as the bill has little chance of passing the Senate – until and unless – the Democrats are able to secure a majority in the Senate.

Nevertheless, the recent vote is vital to move the bill forward — and the American people agree. A new Gallup Poll shows support for the legalization of cannabis is at an all-time high with 68 percent in favor.

Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C. shares some insight below.

Learn more and track the bill’s progress here.

You Can Now Look Like a Dystopian Daft Punk With This Full-Face Modular Mask

We are inching closer and closer to real-life Black Mirror episodes. Thanks to a company called Blanc, you’ll soon be able to walk to your local grocery store, grab some dino nuggets (admit it, you still eat them), and have a lovely chat with the cashier—while wearing a Daft Punk-themed face mask.

Led by two entrepreneurs and a team of product designers, engineers, and scientists, Blanc has produced what they deem to be the world’s first full-face modular mask. The HEPA-enabled mask covers and conceals the wearer’s entire face, keeping it completely anonymous while protecting their eyes, nose, and mouth from COVID-19 exposure. The cyberpunk-inspired shield, which looks as if it were plucked out of a Tron film, is currently in production and raising funds via a Kickstarter campaign.
