“Great cover of one of the greatest songs of all time,” one viewer wrote in the comments section. Another said: “Haunted. Brilliant. Lou Reed must be happy up in the sky.”
Upon the single’s release in September, Berninger explained: “I wrote ‘One More Second’ with Matt Sheehy (Lost Lander, EL VY) with the intention for it to be a kind of answer to Dolly Parton’s ‘I Will Always Love You’, or sort of the other side of that conversation.
“I just wanted to write one of those classic, simple, desperate love songs that sound great in your car.”

London will gain a brand new music venue as part of a huge renovation of West London exhibition centre Olympia.
Olympia was acquired by Yoo Capital and Deutsche Finance International for €330 million in 2017, and is now to undergo a £1.3 billion renovation that will conclude in 2024.
Today (December 1), the developers announced a number of new tenants for the complex, including the new venue to be run by AEG Presents, the promoters behind Coachella and British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park.
Described as a “state-of-the-art, purpose-built live music venue,” the new site will be located above the Olympia’s west exhibition hall, and open in 2023.
Steve Homer, CEO of AEG Presents, commented: “This is a very exciting opportunity. Olympia is steeped in British music history as far back as Jimi Hendrix in the 60s. AEG Presents are delighted to be part of the new development and we plan to create more iconic shows for London audiences.”

Also among the newly announced tenants are two hotels, operated by Hyatt and citizenM respectively.
Chairman of Yoo Capital, John Hitchcox, said: “It’s been a challenging year for the events, live entertainment, retail and hospitality sectors – but having these three partners on board is a real positive for London and a clear indication of confidence in both the city and this iconic landmark as a destination for culture and creativity.”
“The Olympia project will give a real boost to the local economy, bringing in an extra £9m per year in consumer spending to Hammersmith & Fulham, so we are very pleased to be taking another big step towards the realisation of a new vision for this area.”
Yoo Capital and DFI have also announced that they are in “advanced talks” with other potential occupiers, with “strong interest” being shown for a four-screen arthouse cinema, a 1,500-seat theatre, and other restaurants, shops, cafés and hotels.
Back in September, Excision launched his new label Subsidia with three massive compilations totaling 118 songs. Now, the fresh label is back with its Night: Vol 2 compilation and another 20 songs, making 138 releases in just a couple months. No doubt this makes Subsidia the fastest growing label of 2020, no competition.
Night is Subsidia’s home for the heaviest of bangers, the cream of the crop for the nastiest wobbles and beefiest drops. Twenty new songs are now in heavy rotation from names like Codd Dubz, Antiserum, JEANIE, Lev3l, and Dubscribe with a brand new remix of “Robo Kitty.” However, Night Vol 2 also features a lot, a lot, of names you might not be familiar with like Chassi & BLU PILL, KULTIVATE, Cyclops, Automhate, Whiskers, and more.
Check out the full compilation below for today’s dose of heaviness!
Fridays are usually the day we in the electronic music world get to hear new music, but Subsidia Records has decided to drop a mid-week bomb in the form of a new bass-heavy compilation.
Excision‘s flagship record label unveiled its second official compilation today, and it is as ferocious as his fans would expect. The thunderous Night Volume 2 spans 20 tracks, all of which are in the dubstep, bass, and riddim genres. Highlights include LEV3L‘s menacing song “Unfaithful Servant,” Say Word‘s screeching dubstep anthem “Fresh,” and AXEN and WRAITH‘s aptly-titled “Terror.” Additional artists to be featured include Antiserum, Cyclops, Howndz, Downlink, Jeanie, and Automhate, among others.
Considering the fact that Subsidia’s debut compilation was split into three parts, one of which was Night Volume 1, fans are safe to expect follow-up editions of Dusk and Dawn, which focused on “the cutting edge of Experimental Bass” and “melodic, lyrical Bass,” respectively. You can listen to Night Volume 2 in full below.

After 2019 appearances at Printworks and in Bonobo’s fabric presents mix, TSHA made it clear to those following the London’s nightclub scene that 2020 was her year. What makes TSHA’s success this year so impressive, though, is her ability to reach as wide as she has far.
First, the UK-based producer graced the deep and progressive house stratosphere, appearing on Lane 8’s Brightest Lights Remixed album and asserting herself as a fresh face on Above and Beyond’s Group Therapy. But, that was only the beginning for TSHA, who progressively broke out of her shell later in 2020, cementing her own original sound with the soulful and satisfying Flowers EP released via the visionary Ninja Tune label.
