Massane winds the clock to ‘5am’ for debut LP’s second This Never Happened single
Massane is reaching into Lane 8’s mound of “Summer 2020 Mixtape” IDs for the next affiliate from his June 4-dated freshman LP. Not even a month removed from the news of his impending This Never Happened album, paired with the delivery of its Kinnship-backed title number, Massane has now locked in a second Another Dawn extension with “5am.”
One of the standout members of Lane 8’s four-hour seasonal showing—as well as “Cove,” which will eventually sit on the album’s 11-part tracklist—”5am” strikes the chord that its title signifies. Melodic house truly does not upgrade beyond “5am,” with Massane both deftly and serenely soundtracking the early hours of a midsummer morning, further corroborating that his full-length entry is about to be overflowing with world-class production, straight out of the heart of France.
