Gaminow and Boltron have joined forces for “Don’t Wanna Love You,” a sun-kissed house jam that belongs on the sparkling poolsides we’re all yearning for during the pandemic.
Gaminow is composed of Gama and Minow, two dance music producers who have been cutting their teeth in the EDM scene out of Mexico City. They have now teamed up as a duo, tapping fellow young fun Boltron for their new collaborative single. The track features potent piano strikes and airy vocal chops, which make for a summery deep house tune. The warm horns in the chorus only add to the bubbly vibes of the song, which was released on Holy Pig Records, the imprint owned by star Mexican DJ Mr. Pig.
You can listen to “Don’t Wanna Love You” in full below via Spotify.
Kaskade and Australian producer WILL K have released a dynamic new single “Flip Reset.” The outing, which marks Kaskade’s debut on Monstercat and the first one-off from an EP that he will release in full on the label, is made in partnership with award-winning video game Rocket League. “Flip Reset” is featured in-game, and will arrive with the announcement of Rocket League Season 2, which will officially go live on December 9.
In an embrace of its partnership with Monstercat, Rocket League will be introducing the game’s first-ever music-themed season, which includes “Flip Reset.” The Kaskade and WILL K collaboration will also be available as a Player Anthem in Rocket League Season 2, a new customization option that will allow players to select the music that plays in the Arena after they score a goal.
Kaskade said of the partnership,
“As a kid who grew up on a steady diet of arcades and video games, it’s only right that I finally get to team up with Monstercat and Rocket League! Being able to create music (and get my own in-game items) exclusively for this season) has stoked the kid in me that has always considered video games the ultimate threshold for cool. I hope you enjoy playing, and it’s time to put those speakers to work. Turn it up!”
“Flip Reset” adds a new dynamic to Kaskade’s roster of releases, and will be a welcome addition to the Monstercat family.

Finneas has released a piano-led Christmas song called ‘Another Year’ – you can listen to it below.
It’s the producer’s first-ever festive track, and it’s his first standalone single since releasing ‘Where The Poison Is’, calling out Donald Trump, last month.
“I wrote this song last Christmas, with a year of uncertainty ahead of us, had I known, anything I know now about how 2020 would go, I don’t think I would have changed a word,” Finneas said of the track.
He added: “I hope wherever this song finds you, it brings you some small dose of comfort. The horizon is bright I think.”
Listen to ‘Another Year’ below:
Finneas has spent the past few months releasing his own solo work, including ‘Can’t Wait To Be Dead’ and ‘What They’ll Say About Us’.
In addition, the songwriter recently earned himself another three Grammy nominations for his work with his sister, Billie Eilish.
The pair have been nominated for Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year for ‘Everything I Wanted’, as well as Best Song Written For Visual Media for ‘No Time To Die’, written as the theme for the forthcoming James Bond film of the same name.
Finneas has also given an update on the follow-up to Eilish’s debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’, revealing that it won’t be released during the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Finneas joined Benny Blanco to co-produce Justin Bieber’s recent single ‘Lonely’.
The song arrived in October with a Jake Schreier-directed video clip, depicting a young a Bieber, played by Jacob Tremblay, exploring an empty theatre. The lyrics tell a story of loneliness despite success, which Tremblay portrays in his solemn acting.
‘Tis the season… for Christmas song covers. While nothing in our minds will ever beat the Kaskade Christmas album from 2017 (and its deluxe version the following year), there’s still a lot out there for people who aren’t as into it as we are. A couple weeks ago, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Armin van Buuren, and Brennan Heart teamed up for “Christmas Time.”
Now, they’re back with two new Christmas collabs off the Smash The House compilation album, Home Alone. Starting off with “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” the Belgian brothers team up with R3HAB for a downright delightful, bouncy house take on the classic. It’s got the jingle bells, the melody, all with a fun house beat.
Next up, they tackle “All I Want for Christmas is You,” teaming up again with Brennan Heart. Remixing Mariah Carey isn’t always a wise decision, especially with a track as iconic as this one — let alone dropping a partially hard style remix — but the kicks aren’t ever offensive or overshadowing Mariah’s voice. It’s just a little extra spice on top. Not everyone will appreciate what was done to Carey’s hit, but if you love hard style and hate the original, this one’s for you.
While social media platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter have adopted the Snapchat-originated stories function, Spotify may be the latest in line to hop on the trend. The streaming giant was spotted testing the new feature in conjunction with its playlists, a few of which included the Christmas Hits playlist, Tear Drop emo rap playlist, and a version of Megan Thee Stallion‘s album Good News.
Built nearly identical to the well known stories interface, the new Spotify feature is located on the top left of supported playlists and can be accessed through tapping the icon. The content sighted thus far has consisted of short anecdotal clips from artists as related to the playlist. On Christmas Hits, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Lopez, and Pentatonix all provided videos detailing holiday-centric conversations.
Although Spotify has confirmed the new feature, it has not yet spoken to further plans to officially launch.

Last month, Spotify announced it was testing a new feature allowing artists to boost visibility of specific tracks through the platform’s recommendation algorithms, in exchange for different royalty rates on those songs’ streams.
The boosted songs will appear in Spotify’s Radio and Autoplay features upon launch, with the potential to expand to other personalised listening modes available on the platform.
The new feature, named “Discovery Mode”, was announced on November 2 in a press release from Spotify’s newsroom. It will initially be tested with artists and labels in the US, with plans of a worldwide rollout if the feature is deemed successful.
Meanwhile, The Weeknd has called out the Grammys after he failed to receive any nominations for the 2021 awards for his latest album, ‘After Hours’.
In a tweet posted on Wednesday (November 25), The Weeknd – aka Abel Makkonen Tesfaye – said the Grammys “remain corrupt” and that the organisation “owe me, my fans and the industry transparency”.
SoundCloud is on the rise — the platform just experienced its first-ever profitable quarter in Q3 2020 and reported a 37% increase year-over-year in 2019.
These are huge wins for SoundCloud and its steady rise in recent years is promising — attributed to its unique business model, which breaks down into Listener Business and Creator Business.
SoundCloud’s posted $165.7 million in revenue for 2019 brings it up 37 percent year-over-year. In 2018, the platform’s year-over-year revenue increase amounted to 19 percent.
SoundCloud CEO Kerry Trainor reveals to Music Business Worldwide:
With the end of 2020 now in view, we will have achieved our third consecutive year of accelerating revenue growth and our first profitable quarter, with substantial cash reserves to continue investing in SoundCloud.
While the coronavirus pandemic continues to hit the music industry hard, SoundCloud is weathering the storm with tons of music. Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music have tallied around 70 million tracks on each platform, but SoundCloud reportedly hosts close to over 250 million.

Days after the Recording Academy revealed that Baauerisup for a Grammy Award next year, the renowned producer is teasing a new 19-track mixtape. Baauer took to Twitter to share that he would be releasing the album, dubbed BOPTAPE, as a thank you to fans and included what some assume to be the record’s cover art.
He noted that those who subscribe to his Twitch channel will have immediate access to BOPTAPE while the rest of the world will see its release at a later date.
In addition to the announcement, a short teaser video was also shared on his YouTube channel. Although the video does not preview any of the new music, a phone number is displayed for fans who want to learn more and stay connected with the producer.
Swedish born, LA-based female pop sensation Josefine follows the same pedigree of Scandinavian icons Robyn, Tove Lo, and Icona Pop on her latest single ‘Dreamin.’ Production chops and pop hooks have long been Sweden’s greatest export and Josefine does her predecessors proud on her follow up to “Let It Go.” Backed by the production of Martin René, this Swedish newcomer crafts an easy listening, electro pop romp with a calm and collected beat. Josefine is clearly an expert at crafting a catchy pop hook and with Rene’s squeaky clean production the two dream up a perfect stay-in-bed-on-Sunday-morning vibe on their first go at it.
