DJ Fluke Has Us ‘At Hello’ With Brand New Single

DJ Fluke has enjoyed a stellar start to his career, and now he returns for his second single on Smash The House sublabel Generation Smash, with ‘At Hello’. After the success of previous release ‘See The World Again’ feat. Scarlett, DJ Fluke quickly capitalizes on the early momentum he has built with his first releases, as Generation Smash once again provide the perfect platform, for burgeoning artists and established acts alike, to flourish. Take a listen below!

The track begins with a raw, r’n’b vocal that sits above the deep bassline, which remains subtle before revealing its full form in the drop. The beat contains a grooving slap house rhythm, making ‘At Hello’ primed for both the dancefloor and radio airwaves. One thing is for certain, you can expect to hear ‘At Hello’ as a mainstay in DJ sets and livestreams in the coming months.

Although in the early stages of his career, DJ Fluke has excelled and quickly developed a name for himself as a rising star in the dance music world. Having earned support from label heads Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, as well as other high-profile names including Timmy Trumpet, the wheels are certainly in motion for 2021 to be a huge year for this talented artist.

Watch Bruce Springsteen perform acoustic tracks from ‘Letter To You’ at virtual Stand Up For Heroes gig

Bruce Springsteen performed three acoustic tracks at this year’s Stand Up For Heroes benefit gig last night (November 19).

The Boss performed ‘House Of A Thousand Guitars’ from his new ‘Letter To You’ album, with wife and bandmate Patti Scialfa, in an empty New Jersey bar.

Springsteen also played a solo-acoustic version of ‘Long Walk Home’, from his 2007 album ‘Magic’ before teaming up with Scialfa again for a rendition of ‘I’ll See You In My Dreams’ from his new album. You can watch the performance below.

Other artists who performed on the night included Sheryl Crow and Brad Paisley.

Springsteen released his 20th studio album, ‘Letter To You’, last month. A film that accompanied the LP was also released.

Reviewing ‘Letter To You’, NME called the record “his best work in 20 years,” writing: “A powerful synthesis of past and present, ‘Letter To You’ shows us the strength that can be found in sorrow.”

Meanwhile, the Boss recently became the first artist to have a Top Five album in each of the last six decades.

Springsteen scored two Top Five albums on the Billboard Hot 200 in the 1970s, first with ‘Born To Run’ and later with ‘Darkness On The Edge Of Town’. In the ‘80s, he hit the upper levels of the chart with the Number One album ‘The River’, along with ‘Nebraska’, ‘Born In The USA’, ‘Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band 1975-1985’, and ‘Tunnel Of Love’.

The ‘90s, meanwhile, saw him score a Number Two and Number Three album with ‘Human Touch’ and ‘Lucky Town’ respectively, and a Number One with his 1995 ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation. A decade later, ‘The Rising’, ‘Devils & Dust’, ‘We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions’, ‘Magic’ and ‘Working On A Dream’ all charted within the Top Five.

Most recently, he achieved four Top Fives in the 2010s, including his most recent – 2019’s ‘Western Stars’ while ‘Letter To You’ entered the Billboard Hot 200 at Number Two to complete the achievement.

Herobust Drops Emotional Single “Remember” with San Holo on Guitar [MUST LISTEN]

Herobust just hit us smack dab in the feels with his new production, “Remember.”

The playful, melodic single lives and breathes nostalgia, as Herobust captivates our ears and hearts with the most emotional track we’ve heard from him.

“Remember” seamlessly works in a reminiscent vocal hook with a world of uplifting sounds before exploding into a future riddim drop. We love how he keeps the Herobust sound intact on the impacts — and that San Holo touch coming through on guitar adds another dynamic layer to the production. There’s a lot to absorb and reflect on with every play through.

Hayden shares of the release: This year brought some heavy emotions. Some days I could write fun party music. Some days I couldn’t. As soon as I stopped forcing it and expressed myself honestly, Remember happened.

He continues: If Remember reminds you of everything you miss, please don’t stop there. Experience that loss, but now appreciate how great things were and how great things will be again. I, personally, am fucking stoked.

BRB… ugly crying…

Shaquille O’Neal and Wuki entrust Scrilla King with vocal duties on raucous single, ‘Shutup’ – Dancing Astronaut

Having surfaced in festival sets since early 2019, Shaquille O’Neal and Wuki‘s in-your-face trap ID “Shutup” has been granted a formal release via HARD Recs. “Shutup” features shrilling synths and half-time breaks under Scrilla King’s verses, making the hard bass-trap single an ideal anthem for nonstop head banging, as many listeners already know, having done just that in a live setting pre-release.

“Shutup” adds to the quaint list of collaborations that O’Neal has accumulated in the electronic context to date, such as 2019’s “Takin’ Over” with Nitti Gritti and “Bang” with NGHTMRE, and most recently, the Eliminate-assisted “Tear It Up.” Hear the resume-expanding single below.

Bob Moses Release Live “Falling Into Focus” Concert Video And Album

Back in October, the Canadian band Bob Moses streamed an incredible 70 minute concert on Twitch. Today, along with the creative agency CTRL5, Bob Moses released the full video of the concert for those who missed the stream as well as the live album to go with it. Both are titled “Falling Into Focus – Live 2020”.

The concert is set in an abandoned radio tower in Topanga, California. Bob Moses kicks things off at sunset and plays into the night. As the set progresses, the band makes their way down the tower, changing the production and band configuration as they go. The multiple camera angles throughout the concert keep your eyes locked to the screen while your ears enjoy tracks like “Desire” and “All I Want”. The shots were meticulously planned to create jaw-dropping moments, requiring multiple takes in order to capture properly.

As described by CTRL5 founder Owen Brown, the film “represents the future of livestream-style content, in that it was made over the course of months to be as thrilling to watch as a concert is to attend. With live music not coming back anytime soon because of the pandemic, my goal was to make something at that standard — and I think we’ve come close.”

“Falling Into Focus – Live 2020” can be enjoyed in its entirety on Bob Moses’ YouTube page. The live album is also available today!

Listen to Future Islands’ remix of Matt Berninger’s ‘One More Second’

Future Islands have remixed The National frontman Matt Berninger‘s solo single ‘One More Second’.

Samuel T. Herring’s band have put their trademark synth spin on the track, which recently featured on Berninger’s debut solo album ‘Serpentine Prison’. You can listen to the remix below.

“Every time I put on Future Islands my impression of the human condition improves,” Berninger said in a statement. “Their remix of ‘One More Second’ kills me.”

The National frontman recently performed the album version of his single on The Tonight Show With Stephen Colbert and as part of a remote mini-concert for European cultural TV network ARTE.

Speaking about ‘One More Second’ back in September, Berninger said: “I wrote ‘One More Second’ with Matt Sheehy (Lost Lander, EL VY) with the intention for it to be a kind of answer to Dolly Parton’s ‘I Will Always Love You’, or sort of the other side of that conversation.

“I just wanted to write one of those classic, simple, desperate love songs that sound great in your car.”

Speaking previously to NME about his solo material, Berninger explained the process behind writing tracks for ‘Serpentine Prison’.

“Most of my songs are love songs to myself or that champion me. They’re cheerleading songs for my own soul,” he said.

“I’m writing things that I suspect [wife Carin Besser] would like to say to me. You know, ‘I hope my daughter understands me’, ‘My mother will know this is about her’. They’re not just about me; they’re about the people that made me… me.”

In a four star review of his album, NME said: “Sure, it rests in a lot of the sonic territory of The National, and this isn’t the departure that his peppy indie-pop side-project EL VY represents, but what we do have is an intimate and generous offering from one of 21st Century rock’s most prominent voices.”

[PREMIERE] Gammer & Henry Fong Get Hype In New Single, “The Feeling”

Both Gammer and Henry Fong know what it means to go hard, and the two of the team up on their first-ever collaboration for an epic hardcore tune called, “The Feeling,” out now on Dim Mak.

Starting things off with some euphoric synths and a breakbeat rhythm, it quickly transitions into a wild hardcore drop with screeching synths and an unstoppable pace. There’s no deeper meaning to be found within “The Feeling,” just a balls to the wall party tune that’s meant to get you moving and jumping.

“I’ve been a huge fan of Henry ever since I first heard his ‘Mi Gente’ remix. Working with him has been amazing. I’d been trying to finish this track for ages and immediately when he got on and added his magic of distinctive old school pianos and fast paced house drums I knew it was right. ‘The Feeling’ is exactly that for me, a song to smile with.” – Gammer

“I’ve been a fan of Gammer’s music career for so long, and to have the opportunity to make a track with him was such an honor. I’m so happy with how this one came out, and I think all Henry Fong and Gammer fans will love this one!” – Henry Fong
