GOT The Beat, the first sub-unit of SM Entertainment’s female supergroup Girls On Top, have announced new details of their forthcoming debut mini-album ‘Stamp On It’.

Earlier today (December 29) at midnight KST, SM Entertainment took to GOT The Beat’s official social media to unveil new details for their upcoming return to music. The seven-piece will be dropping their first-ever record, titled ‘Stamp On It’, on January 16, 2023, which will include “a total of six songs in the dance genre that will stand out”, per this news report from Hanguk Kyungje TVA full tracklist will be shared by the label at a later stage.

Additionally, SM Entertainment also shared that the project group will be performing a song lifted from the new record live for the first time at the company’s upcoming ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2023: SMCU PALACE@KWANGYA’ concert slated to be held on January 1, 2023.

The new announcement comes days after SM Entertainment confirmed news of GOT The Beat’s impending comeback, in response to news outlets claiming that the group have reportedly completed filming a music video for the release.

The release of ‘Stamp It Out’ will mark the girl group’s first comeback, coming over a year after they made their debut with ‘Step Back’. The track was first performed on a special stage at ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA’ earlier this year, before it was officially released on South Korean and worldwide music streaming services in January.

Girls On Top are the sixth project group formed by SM Entertainment, an endeavour that began with SM The Ballad in 2010. That group featured members of TVXQ, Girls’ Generation and EXO. In 2019, the label had debuted the boyband SuperM, which was comprised of members from SHINee, EXO, NCT 127 and WayV.

Girls On Top are set to feature the label’s female artists in various combinations and sub-units. Their first sub-unit, GOT The Beat, is comprised of soloist BoA, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa’s Winter and Karina.
