Known as The Laufey Basis, the scheme goals to make music training programmes, particularly orchestral ones, extra accessible and accessible to younger individuals. Inaugural grants have been given to the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, LA Phil’s YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) scheme, The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, and two of Carnegie Corridor’s nationwide youth ensembles (NYO2 and NYO Jazz).
