From acid jazz and reggae to downtempo and bossa nova, Eric Hilton explored all of it as one half of famend digital music duo Thievery Company. 

But as a solo artist, Hilton's real love lies with trip-hop. It is a style he helped to create with a pioneering method to sound design, highlighted by ingenious sampling, moody synths and psychedelic lo-fi. 

Now Hilton is taking a possibility to revisit these roots along with his newly introduced Misplaced Dialect album, the titular observe of which is out now. It is a 10-track opus that, in keeping with Hilton, consciously introduced him again to his "early days" of manufacturing trip-hop when he was "combining pattern collages with grooves," he tells EDM.com.
