Fall Out Boy started work on “guitar-based” new materials that’s now on the “again burner”

Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman has revealed that the band have been not too long ago engaged on “guitar-based” new materials that's now on the “again burner”.

Trohman was chatting with Rolling Stone about his upcoming memoir, None Of This Rocks, which explores the guitarist’s youth and evolution right into a musician. It’s described as being “not like any [memoir] you’ve ever learn.”

Within the new interview, Trohman is requested a few section of the guide the place he says Fall Out Boy are engaged on new rock-orientated new materials extra akin to their earlier work.

In response, he revealed that this explicit set of music seems to have now been put aside, saying: “We have been engaged on some stuff that was guitar-based. I really like synthesizers, synthesizers that we play.

“We will play music; let’s play the music. Let’s not go for samples. Let’s not attempt to attain for singles. At this level, we’ve had so many hit singles. Do we actually even want to succeed in for singles anymore? I feel we should always simply make a cool document.”

Elsewhere, this summer season Fall Out Boy made a $100,000 (£83,000) donation to Everytown – a non-profit organisation that advocates for gun management and protests towards gun violence – within the wake of the mass taking pictures that occurred in Highland Park, Illinois this July.
