Labrinth Gets Dark at Coachella, Surprises Fans With Sia, Zendaya

"I want to welcome you all to my funeral," Labrinth said to a sprawling sea of fans at Mojave Stage.

Last night, Labrinth went to a melancholic and sweetly morbid headspace onstage when he said, "I want to welcome you all to my funeral."

After a grandiose entrance complete with a spotlighted band arranged in triangular choir seating reminiscent of the ominous future council from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Labrinth softened the hearts of his fans at Coachella. He explained that he was leaving an old version of himself to die a new one could emerge.

After Labrinth invited Billie Eilish onstage last weekend to perform their smash hit "Never Felt So Alone," he brought out a number of surprise guests, like Sia (for "Thunderclouds" off the album Audio) and Zendaya, the famed Euphoria actress.

Zendaya returned to the stage after an eight-year hiatus for savory tracks like "I'm Tired" and "All for Us." She even commented with an outpouring of gratitude after the show on Twitter.

"I stepped away from music quite a while ago, for a number of reasons, but I still really love it, so the kindness and support I’ve received the past few days just for a little tiny toe dip back into some music means the absolute world to me," Zendaya wrote.
