The WGSBN (Working Group of the Worldwide Astronomical Union) not too long ago made an announcement that an asteroid has been completely renamed after the late digital music pioneer, whose loss of life following an unintended fall shocked the music group at giant in January 2021. That is when Arroyo requested the scientists that found TOI 1338 b to call it after her.
"Her followers would like to pay homage by having her title be remembered on this approach and for her affect to proceed to flourish for years to come back," said Arroyo, who asserts SOPHIE's music left "an insurmountable impression on many LGBTQIA+ people."
